| CRI is a capital defense office. Our goal is to improve the quality of representation of individuals facing the death penalty in the U.S. and abroad. We also serve as a resource center for communities disproportionately affected by the death penalty. Our staff provides direct services for clients facing capital charges, and trains attorneys, investigators, paralegals, mitigation specials, victim liaisons, mental health professionals and other experts on issues relating to capital defense. In addition, we work with our clients' families and community members to help them obtain access to housing, employment, education, and medical and mental health care.
